MOTIV does Pilates differently

We’ve taken a complicated art form and simplified the delivery to remove the barriers and high-brow stigma of Pilates. Making Pilates accessible by delivering a class experience that offers classes for all abilities while incorporating video to enhance the learning experience and provide a constant visual frame of reference.

Layer on the ability to measure and track class performance and Motiv has the ability to provide tangible results and create clear progression paths.

The 9 Focuses Explained

Each day has a focus, one of nine different groups of muscles that are the primary target for all the classes that day.

It doesn’t mean it will be the only part of the body… that would be cruel. Approximately a third of the class will be targeting the focus group of muscles while the other two thirds will ensure you get a well rounded workout.

Our class schedule offers different
class options to fuel your motivation.

Align (Novice)

Focused on building the primary movements, exercises & body awareness with slow to moderate pace classes

Thrive (Intermediate)

Focused on progression & building upon the essentials to increase overall strength, movement & endurance

Challenge (Advanced)

Quicker paced classes ideal for the experienced where technique is combined with pace to maximize results

THE CLASSES

Reformer – Pilates – Barre

Reformer

Levels: Align, Thrive & Challenge

This unique Pilates workout using Reformer machines adds resistance training to the fundamentals of Pilates. This class will help give you long lean muscles as the exercises strengthen, tone and stretch your entire body. Experience with Reformer is recommended for Thrive & Challenge classes.

Pilates

Levels: Align, Thrive & Challenge

Targeting those hard to engage core muscles to develop a stronger body. This class will challenge your core and stability by incorporating props such as balls, foam rollers and disks.

Barre

Levels: Align, Thrive & Challenge

Tone and sculpt your arms, legs and back by incorporating small weights and bands combined with traditional Pilates exercises. Being rooted in traditional Pilates, this class will also strengthen your core.

Instructorless Reformer

Levels: Align & Thrive

These classes are led by the video and audio voice over. Perfect for those comfortable with the Reformer looking for classes during off peak times. Many clients enjoy the independence and sometimes listen to a podcast and just follow along with the video.

Cardio Reformer

Level: Thrive

This Reformer class incorporates the cardio tramps to help elevate the heart rate and provide a new dimension to the class. Working on cardio while applying Pilates principles to further the benefits of the workout.
