Intersection of Preparation & Opportunity

I hear New York City is opening Broadway to full capacity shows! That feels like progress to me. So, what does that say for the future of the Pilates & Fitness industry? I’m not sure exactly, but the optimist in me says that we are closer than we were yesterday.

The MOTIV team and I are doing what we can to prepare and be ready when the studio can reopen. We have recently improved our ability to make new classes, but our preparation efforts have largely been focused on the in-studio experience. After giving the videos a little test run in the fall, we saw room for improvement and we have been laser focused on creating an amazing in-studio experience.

At the center of a great in-studio experience is the assembly or arrangement of the class. An amazing personality or music mix with all the latest hits can overcome a class of jumbled, unrelated and disjointed exercises. The class needs to be cohesive, flow seamlessly with purpose and intent. That has always been the vision for studio and at the core how we have been successful this far.

There is no question the world has changed forever. But I believe in my heart that the world needs Pilates and studios like ours. I was once told that success is the result of when Preparation meets Opportunity.

I can tell you that we will be Prepared & I can’t wait for the Opportunity to get back into the studio.

While we stay focused on the core of the studio experience, you can stay focused on your Core with this short little ab workout.
